Going and Growing
Posted by Wendy English under For Buyers, For Realty Professionals, For Sellers, Regional News, Franklin
It seems like we just rang in the new year and here we are in the middle of February already. The signs of the spring real estate market are emerging in the form of multiple offers and good attendance at open houses. An agent in my office experienced a situation this past weekend where there were 7 offers on a particular property in Arlington.
The Framingham office of Century 21 Commonwealth is growing in leaps and bounds!
As I’ve said in my previous posts, change is inevitable … here in Framingham we have merged in another office and boosted our listing inventory to over 100 listings. As many real estate guru’s have stated, “when you list you last”. We welcome the former Century 21 Metrowest agents to Century 21 Commonwealth.
A very young new agent has started as a sales associate in my office. As I was talking with him about getting started in real estate a story that the great sales trainer Tommy Hopkins once told came to mind. Tom got in to real estate right out of high school. When he had completed his training and was ready to go out in the field on sales calls he had a dilema. The only suit he owned was his high school band uniform…the picture in my mind of a young Tom Hopkins knocking on doors in his band uniform makes me laugh to this day! Tom Hopkins went on to be a successful real estate sales associate and one of the best real estate sales trainers in the industry. No matter where you are and what you have as you begin in real estate if you are willing to get trained and go out and talk to people you can be a success in this business.
At Century 21 Commonwealth we have training that is best in class. I recently had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with a group of agents who are new to Century 21 Commonwealth and I told them the story of Tom and his band uniform. I hope it inspired them to never hold back because they are “young” in the business. There is always room for the next superstar of the industry.
On that same note there is always room for the next top company in the industry. Century 21 Commonwealth offers 21 Business Enhancements. These tools are provided to our agents for FREE. (of course if you want to know more I am just a phone call or an email away)
For buyers and sellers we are always striving to go above and beyond. Are you considering selling? Would you like to know how much your property is worth? Contact my office and invite us in for a Complimentary Market Analysis and learn how our Commonwealth Market Positioning system can put you at a competitive advantage in today’s real estate market. As a special “thank you” we will give you a $25 gift certificate to Legal Sea Foods! Contact us and we’ll make a date.
Are you a buyer visiting open houses on the weekends? Visit any of Century 21 Commonwealths Sunday Open Houses and register to win a GPS system and find your way to your dream home.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ONE AND ALL! Here’s a little snipit I found on the history of Valentines Valentine’s Day - the popular festival of love and romances traces its origin to ancient Roman festival and has not been created by card companies as some people believe it to be. There are various legends associated with the festival along with the belief that birds began to mate from this day. Popularity of the Valentine’s Day festival stems from the combined effects of all these legends, beliefs and of course the wish to glorify the unparalleled feeling of love.
